Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, with a particular emphasis on automation testing using POSTMAN and TOSCA. As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading testing efforts, ensuring the quality of our software products, and mentoring junior team members. Your expertise in testing methodologies and tools will be crucial in driving our testing strategy and improving our overall testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using POSTMAN and TOSCA.
- Lead the testing efforts for various software projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to define testing requirements and strategies.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
- Mentor and guide junior testers in best practices for software testing and automation.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the code.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and technologies, and recommend improvements to the testing framework.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in POSTMAN for API testing.
- Proficient in TOSCA for test automation.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Ability to analyze complex software systems and identify potential issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with other automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
Years of Experience:
- Must have worked as SDET for at least 5 or more years
- Must have telecom domain experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance are a plus.
