Description for Test Engineer
Entry level position
Review Module Definitions or Design Specifications and create test scripts and test data under direction from more senior staff.
Works with Test & Defect Management tools, Test automation tools and scripting languages.
Understands the requirements and performs automated and manual test execution for functional, application, regression and integration tests. Also assists in maintenance of the automation & manual test suites as per project needs.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test plans and procedures used for system integration.
Maintains record of test progress and test results.
Assists with rollout of new or upgraded hardware, software, and networking system.

Ascendon R&D is excited to announce that we are expanding our specialist R&D teams in Bangalore. These teams are responsible for delivering new features for CSG’s cloud based digital BSS Ascendon Platform. An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Test Automation Engineer Engineer with product development experience to join our growing R&D team.

We are looking for a Test Engineer I who will:
You will drive the development and execution of automated and manual tests for a wide range of APIs utilizing multiple technologies and platforms.
You will translate complex test scenarios into effective, intuitive, and repeatable automated tests.
You will collaborate with developers, testers, users and cross functional teams to continuously enhance the testing of our applications and provide technical leadership to solve problems.

We are looking for candidates who:
1 – 3 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
Basic knowledge on C#.NET , MS SQL Server and Web services
Review Module Definitions or Design Specifications and create test scripts and test data under direction from senior staff.
Modify test scripts and test data.
Execute basic test scripts and record results.
Attend walk-throughs of new functionality
Prepare and provide demos for the tested features.
Keep Testing Leader informed of delays in testing activities or problems arising from variances.
