Job Description
The DevSecOps Engineer will design, implement, automate, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure runtime environments and software delivery.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery
Establish and maintain best practices for code management, information security, and release management
Analyze software repositories for security and compliance flaws, and facilitate mitigation strategies
Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Work with software development teams to create and maintain secure, reliable runtime environments
Collaborate with platform leads and 3rd parties to investigate available platform upgrades and patches
Work with 3rd party technical account managers to resolve SaaS/IaaS/PaaS environmental issues
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure applications are created with proper security and reliability
Automate and optimize processes to improve cycle times and repeatability
Manage and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Azure Resource Management (ARM) or similar
Act as a team liaison and advocate for information security best practices
Facilitate software deployment planning and execution, minimizing downtime by maximizing preparation
Maintain healthy, professional, open communication across all levels of the team
Actively participate in and contribute to appropriate agile ceremonies, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing
Author and maintain documentation including but not limited to contextual diagrams, technical specifications, procedures, configuration settings, and dependencies
Provide timely and responsive triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues in all relevant environments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or demonstrable equivalent work experience) in information technology
Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc)
Experience with agile development
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Experience deploying to SaaS/PaaS/IaaS endpoints
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of networking and security best practices
Experience with static/dynamic code quality analysis tools (Veracode, SonarQube)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Jira (or equivalent work management)
Confluence (or equivalent knowledge management)
Deployment experience with the hiring team’s specific platform (ERP, CRM, WMS, eCommerce, etc)
