Job Description
As a Software Engineer I, you will join a team of software and platform engineers. Your team will enhance platform core services and will design and develop tools for managing 100% availability.
You will be responsible for:
Contributing to hands-on platform development activities – coding, debugging and testing
Building integrating, supporting and improving data streaming services on Akamai Platform with focus on systems for collecting and analyzing performance metrics
Conducting code and design reviews with peers; documenting your work, and engaging in process improvement
Designing and developing DevOps tools to make the software delivery system run seamlessly
Developing processes and tools to monitor, analyze, maintain and improve data pipelines usability and observability
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
Have experience with SQL and software development using at least 2 out of Golang, Python, C/C++, Rust
Have experience with distributed systems and Linux networking, including TCP/IP, SSH, SSL and HTTP protocols
Have good understanding of big data platforms, like Apache Pulsar, Apache Flink or Apache Spark
Demonstrate skills in bash scripting , SQLDo you love solving complex problems?
