Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Associate Software Engineer with 6 months to 2 years of experience in software development. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C/C++, a solid understanding of object-oriented concepts, and familiarity with operating systems, databases, and middleware technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex systems and contribute to high-impact projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software applications using C/C++.
- Apply OOPS principles including inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation.
- Utilize Templates, STL, Exception Handling, and Operator Overloading.
- Work with advanced concepts like Multiple Inheritance and RTTI.
- Understand and apply operating system fundamentals including memory management and virtual storage.
- Use Unix commands for system monitoring and debugging (e.g., ps, pstack, pmap, vmstat, iostat, netstat).
- Handle message queues (MQ), including message structure and conversion.
- Optimize database queries using Oracle, indexes, and explain plans.
- Analyze AWR reports and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Independently research and resolve technical challenges.
- Detect and resolve memory leaks and segmentation faults.
- Understand transaction concepts and client-server architecture.
- Work with CORBA and IDL for distributed systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Strong understanding of OOPS, STL, and Templates.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
- Knowledge of Oracle 10g or higher and database optimization techniques.
- Experience with middleware technologies, preferably Tuxedo.
- Good analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Awareness of software engineering practices in design, coding, and testing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
