Description for Business Systems Analyst
The “Business System Analyst ” will be based in Coimbatore, reporting to Senior Manager.
What a typical day looks like:
Collaborate with finance and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
Work with SQL / Oracle databases to analyze financial data and ensure data integrity.
Assist in the design, development, and implementation of financial systems and reporting tools.
Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy.
Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
Support finance teams in understanding and leveraging data for decision-making.
Participate in system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and deployment activities.
Provide training and documentation for end-users and stakeholders.
Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.

Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Developer in a finance-related projects.
Strong expertise in SQL (MySQL, SQL Server) and/or Oracle databases.
Experience with data analysis, financial reporting, and database management.
Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
Knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and business processes.
Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
