Description for QA Engineer
Responsible for contributing as a QA advocate for a team doing front end & back end testing with focus on Web, SaaS and mobile platform based products.
Responsibilities
Own medium-sized quality engineering tasks, Automation activities, deliver while mentoring and helping team members.
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process.
Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.
Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project and keeps abreast of evolving QA industry processes and standards.
Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.

Qualifications
A minimum of 0 to 5 years of Software Automation Testing experience with Web or SaaS Platform based products, SQL Server databases.
At least 1 year of experience in owning mid-sized modules.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Desired Characteristics
Proficiency in contributing to Test Automation Frameworks specifically in Javascript/Type Script, Java.
Experience in testing web services (REST) and testing web applications (Playwright/Selenium/WebdriverIO)
Experience in testing hosted or SaaS-based solutions.
Familiar with relational database design and good working knowledge of SQL for querying, updating, and deleting data.
Strong proficiency with functional, regression, performance, and stability testing techniques.
Experience working in a cross-functional development team with the ability to influence quality of products in that environment.
Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.
Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Effective team building and problem-solving abilities.
