Job Description
Mygate is looking for a highly motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our Backend Engineering team. We are seeking technically strong candidates with hands-on experience in building scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of backend development fundamentals, microservices architecture, and RESTful API development, along with a passion for solving complex engineering problems in a fast-paced product environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and services.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of backend systems.
- Work closely with senior engineers to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Good experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience working with Microservices Architecture.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and database concepts.
- Experience with SQL databases and version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on scalable web applications or product-based environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
