What you’ll be doing:
- Build, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks/Python.
- Collaborate with team and internal collaborators to determine and support their data requirements for reporting and analytics.
- Optimize and automate ETL processes to handle large-scale datasets.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and manage data lakes and warehouses.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data pipelines and data processing.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across the data lifecycle.
- The person in this role will have a direct influence on demonstrating how BI/Data Science tools and techniques can provide actionable insights.
What we need to see:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar.
- 2-3 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 1 year of experience working with Databricks or a similar platform.
- Strong expertise in SQL, data modelling, and database management.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and pipeline scripting. Good understanding of API Request/Response Architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data storage solutions.
- Understanding of data governance, data security, and standard methodologies. Knowledge and experience in statistical methods, data mining, and Machine Learning tools and techniques.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging trends and successfully implement this knowledge to educate collaborators of opportunities to provide data analytics solutions that support and drive the business.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work remotely, and lead on projects independently.
- Flexibility to work with collaborators spread across different time zones. Self-starter who can balance multiple tasks and priorities.
