Description for Software Engineer
As a test platform development Engineer within the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVEG) Product Engineer team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining data analytics and visualization tools, software applications, and reporting dashboards to support team efficiency. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of both front-end and back-end programming languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries, along with a strong sense of visual design and functionality. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept to final deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, develop and maintain console/web applications using Python, Tableau, React JS and microservices with Flask.
Develop, Automate, and Orchestrate an Ecosystem of ETL Processes for Varying Volumes of Data.
Develop Proof-of-concepts (PoC) to assess the feasibility and performance of various AI models and to demonstrate the potential benefits to stakeholders.
Build data analysis, data crunching and reporting tools to support engineering experiments.
Drive the adoption of automation tools and practices to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
Test software applications to ensure functionality and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Test Engineering & System Integration, ASIC, FW, Product Engineering and operations, to integrate the applications with the existing systems and to brainstorm software/AI/ML solutions.
Routinely communicate overall project status to leadership and cross functional product team
Provide guidance through debug and resolution of product related issues
Qualifications:
Successful candidates for this exciting opportunity will have
2+ years of strong hands-on experience in console and web application development using ReactJS, Python and SQL.
Expertise in working with cloud databases such as Snowflake and cloud services in GCP.
Expertise in big data processing and/or developing applications and data sources via GCP Services like GCS, BigQuery, DataProc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Big Table, Cloud Composer/Cloud Workflows etc.
Experience in development of data analytics dashboards using Tableau or other similar tools.
Familiar working on Unix/Linux terminal.
Knowledge of scripting in Perl, C
Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently in a very fast paced environment and adapt to change
Drive to determine root-cause and provide corrective action for product issues
Self-motivated and enthusiastic in a challenging, dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups to build strong peer relationships and achieve the best outcomes for Micron
Education:
Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics.
Course work in AI/ML, VLSI, semiconductor process is desirable, but not required.
