Description for Developer
This Developer position is part of RealPage Delivery Planning & Insights group, responsible for preparing, maintaining, and enhancing varieties of reports/dashboards to provide meaningful insights/foresights to different businesses in RealPage. The position will be delivering reports and analyzing the results for the businesses to help them make data-driven decisions and eventually help satisfy/retain/attract customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Work closely with team members and seniors towards the deliverable on time with due quality
Work towards continuous improvement in quality and efficiency
Understand varieties of the sources and types of the data for the businesses
Including on-premises (e.g., SQL/Oracle/File-based) to cloud based (e.g., Salesforce/SharePoint/Azure) data sources.
Understand and analyze the requirements for the report/insights by working closely with the team/lead/customer/contact.
Document/communicate with the stakeholders as needed.
Gather and process/transform data from the required sources using the expected/optimal approach.
Use the right tool/technology/process for the right purpose.
Prepare/update data model with appropriate data sources as applicable.
Present the story with insights/foresights as required, by the right visual/content.
Plan right/optimum volume of data and caching/storage mechanism
Analyze data/insights to identify potential variances or anomalies and their root causes.
Manage/maintain recurrence as applicable using right platform/tools/technologies.
Prepare periodic Business reviews as needed.
Generate and Summarize reports into presentations as needed.
Work closely with the stakeholders and to be able to make necessary customizations to the reports.
Be open to work early/late to communicate and attend meetings with people from other time-zones (e.g., early US) as needed.
Follow the process working closely with teammates.
Detect & document defects, bugs & errors under high to moderate supervision.
Register & track all issues related to the project.
Apply organization standards and practices in implementation with guidance from experienced team members.
Track knowledge transition activities such as Project specific KT, application KT etc.
Extract relevant information from the knowledge management repository.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field
1 Year using MS SQL Queries for business intelligence reports & analytics.
1 Year with a standard data transformation and visualization/reporting tool, preferably Power BI.
Good experience using MS Excel as a data and report/visualizing tool.
Good experience using other common Microsoft platform tools including Word, PowerPoint etc.
Demonstrated analytical and conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
Good process-documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective communication & presentation
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting regular deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
Flexibility to work overtime hours (nights and weekends) when required.
A track record of following through on commitments.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge/experience in data analytics/machine learning using any standard platform/tool (e.g, Python)
Advanced knowledge/experience (1+ Years) using MS SQL & SQL Reporting Services.
Advanced knowledge/experience (1+ Years) with Power BI is preferred.
E.g., Modelling with variety of data sources & types with custom DAX functions, RLS etc.
Advanced knowledge in Excel and it’s functions in real world.
Excellent process-documentation skills, following ISO standards.
Experience (1+ Years) in managing multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting regular deadlines
Experience in verbal and written communication with global teams.
