Description for Automation Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 3+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both development and testing practices, with the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Test Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web and mobile applications.
Manual Testing: Perform manual testing as required for new features, bug fixes, and exploratory testing.
Test Design: Collaborate with developers and product managers to design and develop effective test cases, including edge cases, positive and negative scenarios.
Bug Identification & Reporting: Identify, reproduce, and report bugs in a clear and concise manner. Work closely with development teams to assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure consistent and efficient testing practices.
Test Metrics & Reporting: Provide detailed test reports, metrics, and feedback on the quality of the software.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that quality is maintained throughout the software lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience:
3+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C# or JavaScript
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright/Selenium/Appium/Cypress.
Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
Experience with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
