Description for Software Intern
The intern will be working on software applications for the entire Test & Measurement portfolio of products. The main focus would be to develop test applications for new products in R&D as well as maintaining/supporting existing products in the market.
Responsibilities:
Develop test applications for new products in R&D
Maintain/Support existing products in the market
Work closely with hardware engineers to understand the product under test
Develop user interfaces for the application to enable users to configure the instrument and interpret results
Develop algorithms for the application to perform calculations and data analysis
Develop scripts for automating various tasks
Troubleshoot issues reported by customers or found during internal testing
Improve performance and memory usage of applications
Port applications to different operating systems like Windows, Linux, macOS
Qualifications:
Candidates pursuing B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree with specialization in Electronics Engineering or related field
Good programming skills in C#, Python, Java, C++ or any other object oriented language
Experience with Java script & Testing
Knowledge of scripting languages like python, batch scripting etc
Knowledge of databases like SQL Server, Oracle
Experience with developing windows applications
Good communication skills, should be able to communicate effectively with users and other stakeholders
Should be a quick learner and self-motivated
Previous experience with test equipment or electronics measurement instruments is desirable but not essential
