Description for Associate Developer
We are seeking a dedicated Developer to design and implement high-quality data intake software components that align with user needs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop efficient and scalable solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. An excellent focus on user experience, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering robust software will be essential in this role. Join us in leveraging technology to enhance data processing and improve overall operational efficiency.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
Developing and maintaining custom data integration solutions with various sources and formats, including structured and unstructured data, to ensure data quality and consistency.
Collaborate with the product owner and other squad members to understand user requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
Design, develop and test high-quality software components for the data intake system that meet acceptance criteria and quality standards.
Carry out code reviews and provide feedback to other developers to ensure that the code meets functional and non-functional requirements.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, etc. to ensure smooth delivery.
Developing and maintaining custom data integration solutions with various sources and formats, including structured and unstructured data, to ensure data quality and consistency.
Managing and monitoring data pipelines and ensuring their availability, reliability, and scalability.
Troubleshooting issues related to data ingestion and transformation.
You will report to the Release Train Engineer.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Developing and maintaining custom data integration solutions with various sources and formats, including structured and unstructured data, to ensure data quality and consistency.
Ensures that the solution and codebase is maintainable, scalable and adheres to best practices of software development.
Delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable data ingestion pipelines.
Supports other members of the squad in resolving technical questions related to best practice, feasibility etc.
Data intake squad members during trouble-shooting or assisting with data-related queries.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Insurance background.
Proficiency in programming language such as C#.
Experience with data integration tools.
Excellent understanding of database management systems, data warehousing, and data modeling.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations such as GDPR.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
