About the role:
The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for executing and enhancing the organization’s enterprise-wide data discovery and classification program using the data discovery platform. This role manages infrastructure across on‑premises data centers, AWS, and Azure; performs sensitive data discovery across structured and unstructured sources; and partners with internal and external stakeholders to onboard, integrate, and validate data sources. The analyst supports strategic initiatives that improve data visibility, reduce data‑exposure risk, and enable compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
About the team:
The Data Protection Team is a core part of the Cybersecurity organization responsible for protecting sensitive enterprise data through a data‑centric security model. Their mission is to identify, secure, encrypt, classify, and govern data across applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms, ensuring compliance with internal security standards and industry regulations. The team manages enterprise tools for data discovery, encryption, key management and HSMs.
What you will be doing:
- Partner with DBAs, application owners, data platform teams, and third‑party partners to onboard and validate new data sources for scanning.
- Configure scan methods, metadata extraction, and sensitive‑data classification rules following organizational standards.
- Analyze scan results to identify data sensitivity, data exposure risk, and compliance gaps; partner with application owners to remediate findings.
- Manage and maintain infrastructure deployed across private cloud environments and public clouds (AWS, Azure).
- Support privacy initiatives such as DSAR processing, assessments, and data mapping.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, authentication, firewall access, and network dependencies required for successful scanning
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Cybersecurity, Data Governance, Privacy, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, and Business Units to meet discovery and compliance objectives.
- Communicate scan findings, risk insights, and remediation status to asset owners and leadership
- Provide guidance to application teams on data security and best practices for reducing sensitive‑data footprint
- Actively participates in the daily standup meetings with team members to discuss ongoing tasks
- Works with Vendors in reporting and troubleshooting technical issues
- Ensure that all the documentation on the wiki is up to date
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you will need:
- 1-2 years of experience in Information Technology or Cybersecurity
- 1-2 years of experience in developing software applications using Java, .Net, C, Python etc.
- 1-2 years of experience in managing infrastructure on AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of relational database systems such as Oracle and MySQL
- Knowledge of networking concepts
- Knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design, privilege access, etc.)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office software applications specially Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio.
- Ability to work independently without supervision and communicate clearly -both written and verbally.

- Cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security+ certification
- AWS or Azure Cloud Certification
- Database administration experience
