Job Description

As a QA Intern, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile (Android/iOS) applications. You will work alongside experienced QA engineers and developers to test features, identify defects, and improve overall product quality.

This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in manual testing, mobile app testing, and test automation, helping you build a strong foundation for a career in software quality engineering.

The Job

  • Assist in testing web and mobile applications (Android/iOS) for functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Write and execute test cases, test scenarios, and checklists based on product requirements.
  • Perform manual testing including functional, regression, exploratory, and UI testing.
  • Conduct mobile app testing including installation, upgrade, device compatibility, screen resolution, and OS version validation.
  • Identify, log, and track bugs using tools like JIRA and ensure proper documentation.
  • Validate REST APIs using tools like Postman.
  • Learn and contribute to automation testing using tools like Selenium (web) and Appium (mobile).
  • Test applications on real devices and cloud platforms like BrowserStack.
  • Assist in smoke testing and build verification during releases.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Document test execution results and provide feedback to improve product quality.
  • Learn industry best practices in QA, automation, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications & Skills Required

This role is ideal for candidates starting their QA career (0–6 months experience or freshers):

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts (STLC, defect lifecycle).
  • Familiarity with web applications and mobile apps (Android/iOS).
  • Basic understanding of mobile app behavior and UI/UX principles.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of API testing basics.
  • Exposure to tools like JIRA or any bug tracking tool is a plus.
  • Basic programming knowledge (Java/Python/JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Interest in learning automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
  • Familiarity with Android Studio / Xcode simulators is a plus.
  • Exposure to Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics) or similar tools is an added advantage.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and willingness to learn.
