Description for SQA Engineer
You will be a member of a Product Engineering team delivering on the strategic roadmap of an enterprise scale product. The team imbibes Agile values and principles. It is the responsibility of the engineer to ensure that the products and their features run reliably and optimally at enterprise scale. As an SQA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products through rigorous testing and automation. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to drive high-quality software releases and improve testing frameworks. You’ll have the opportunity to develop thorough understanding of Data Compliance domain and influence product roadmap.
Responsibilities
Participate in SCRUM teams developing new features and ensure quality of deliverables.
Manage and maintain complex test labs
Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs.
Design and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
Automate test cases using Selenium, PyTest, or other relevant frameworks.
Ensure API automation coverage using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) to integrate automated tests.
Analyze and troubleshoot defects, working closely with developers for resolution.
Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures.
Ensure compliance with best QA practices, including test data management and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall software development lifecycle.
Educational Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent Engineering streams
2+ years experience in software testing for enterprise applications and test automation

Skillset – Essential
Experience in testing enterprise software application
Experience working in Agile/Lean environment
Hands-on experience with Selenium, PyTest, or equivalent automation tools.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, C#.
Strong knowledge of API testing and automation (Postman, RestAssured).
Designing test scenarios, test plans, test cases and test execution
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, Deployments in Cloud for SaaS offerings and Microsoft SQL Server
Understanding & configuration of Virtualization (e.g. VMWare ESX)
Good troubleshooting skills. Identifying and analyzing problems using a methodical and process driven approach.
Good interpersonal skills
Experience in performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools is a plus.
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Skillset – Good to have
Knowledge of diagnostic tools for Microsoft Windows (e.g. Perfmon, Netmon, IIS logs, wireshark)
Knowledge of .NET and PowerShell
Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Exposure to archiving/search domain
