Our team is part of the Delivery Product Engineering group within our Compute Technology Group. We help large enterprises around the world manage their websites, deliver video streams and secure their transactions over the internet. You will be building high resiliency customer-facing systems. You will enhance our customers’ experience in managing their international CDN presence and satisfying compliance requirements. You will work with internal teams to design, shape and create innovative solutions for our customers.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing highly scalable software that runs on the Akamai infrastructure
- Partnering with internal cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions to meet business objectives
- Implementing new features, enhancing and optimizing existing features
- Contributing ideas and knowledge to process-improvement sessions to facilitate continuous improvement of our products
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
- Have understanding of OOP concepts, proficiency in Python/Java, familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices and SOA
- Be familiar with frameworks such as Angular, Django, Spring/SpringBoot, Apache Airflow
- Have exposure to relational and non relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, Cassandra
- Demonstrate knowledge of Linux OS and command-line tools, Computer Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
- Be familiar with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, etc), observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, etc)
