Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. The candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and system testing.
- Execute test cases manually and document results.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, or similar defect tracking systems.
- Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts (BAs), and product teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Conduct UI/UX, compatibility, and cross-browser testing where applicable.
- Prepare test summary reports and maintain test-related documentation.
- Ensure product quality by validating that applications meet business requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and testing methodologies.
- Good knowledge of creating test cases, test data, and test execution.
- Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools.
- Ability to identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and communicate clearly.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
