Software Engineer, Associate ( C, C++ , VC++ ) 1- 2 Years
Associate Software Engineer to work as part of a team responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of a multi-lingual ERP cloud suite software application and associated interfaces using VC++ / C++, Visual Studio, C#, and SQL database technologies. You will work under the guidance of senior team members to analyze requirements, implement code changes, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
The position requires learning and understanding application design, business processes, and coding standards to support the implementation of new features and resolution of application defects. The Associate Software Engineer will collaborate with development, QA, product support, and business teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and customer satisfaction.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Work as part of a development team to maintain and enhance a large ERP cloud suite application based on established requirements.
- Develop, test, and debug software using technologies including VC++ / C++, C#, and SQL DB.
- Analyse application issues and implement solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in code review activities, learn from feedback provided by senior engineers, and apply recommended improvements to enhance code quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with QA and product support teams to reproduce, investigate, and resolve customer-reported issues.
- Follow established development processes, coding standards, and best practices.
- Contribute to unit testing and validation of implemented changes.
- Actively engage in Agile team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks and development activities.
- Maintain a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and providing the best experience possible for Infor customers.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and development practices
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Stack Technologies: VC++ / C++, Visual Studio, C#, .NET.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and software development fundamentals.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of modern software development concepts such as OOP, SOLID principles, CI/CD, TDD, and APIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 0 to 3 years of software development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to ERP software applications.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Git source control (using Oxford or similar tools).
- Familiarity with cloud application concepts, including multi-tenancy, scalability, high availability, and automation.
- Exposure to unit testing frameworks and debugging tools.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Internship, academic, or project experience involving enterprise application development.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative development environment
