Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated and highly skilled Associate Software Engineer- Salesforce with hands-on experience in Salesforce platform and application development. In this role, you will be a core individual contributor and a critical partner to engineering teams and product managers in designing, developing, and enhancing various Field Service application modules within the ServiceMax ecosystem.

You will provide technical leadership through design and architecture guidance while building scalable, high-quality enterprise applications. This position requires working in a fast-paced, agile environment where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions that support ServiceMax’s vision and strategy.

Additionally, the role offers exposure to modern AI-powered workflows and content management processes, enabling engineers to leverage automation and intelligent systems to improve operational efficiency and product delivery.

Technical Skills

  • 2+ years of experience developing enterprise applications on the Salesforce PaaS platform.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and application of SOLID principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning Framework, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and advanced JavaScript.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Data Modeling, Apex programming, SOQL/SOSL, and platform customization.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and external systems.
  • Solid understanding of core data structures, algorithms, and their implementation using Apex and/or Java.
  • Knowledge of application performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with build, release, deployment, and CI/CD processes within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Awareness of current and emerging trends within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Domain & Additional Skills

  • Field Service, CRM, or Service Management domain knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience working with Git-based repositories, version control systems, and content management workflows.
  • Exposure to AI-powered automation tools, AI agents, or workflow orchestration platforms is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively navigate ambiguity.

Roles & Responsibilities

Salesforce Development & Engineering

  • Design, develop, and deliver complex Salesforce components and features end-to-end.
  • Make informed technology decisions based on technical evaluation, scalability, maintainability, and business impact.
  • Break down complex problems into manageable technical solutions and provide accurate effort estimations.
  • Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code adhering to Salesforce best practices and coding standards.
  • Explore, evaluate, and implement alternative technologies and solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Design and implement robust data models, Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and integrations.
  • Assess application performance and identify optimization opportunities to improve scalability and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues in production and sandbox environments.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support build, release, deployment, and CI/CD activities.

Repository & Content Management

  • Handle the day-to-day uploading, organization, formatting, and maintenance of content assets within Git-based repositories and content management workflows.
  • Ensure repository hygiene through proper version control, branching strategies, documentation, and content governance practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and product-related content.
  • Monitor repository integrity and support efficient content lifecycle management processes.

AI Agent Workflow Operations

  • Run, monitor, and troubleshoot multi-step AI agent workflows used for content drafting, data gathering, classification, and automated tagging.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve AI-assisted workflows and process automation.
  • Analyze workflow outputs, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Support the adoption of AI-driven productivity tools and best practices within the development ecosystem.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Drive effective collaboration across engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Research emerging technologies and contribute ideas for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Navigate ambiguity effectively and proactively drive solutions to completion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certification.
  • Experience with Salesforce Field Service or ServiceMax platform.
  • Exposure to AI agents, workflow automation platforms, or Generative AI applications.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools, Git, GitHub/GitLab, and automated deployment practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
