Job Description
The Role
Building software for high-frequency trading is unlike building conventional applications.
Trading systems must process large volumes of real-time market data, respond within extremely tight latency constraints, and remain reliable throughout constantly changing market conditions. Performance, correctness, and robustness are equally important, and even small engineering improvements can have a measurable impact.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development of the core systems that power our trading platform. Working closely with experienced engineers, you’ll build software that combines low-level systems programming with modern software engineering practices.
Depending on your experience, your work may include:
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance applications using modern C++.
- Building components that process real-time market data and support low-latency trade execution.
- Applying data structures and algorithms to solve complex performance-critical problems.
- Working with operating system concepts to improve application performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborating with senior engineers, traders, and quantitative researchers to design and implement robust technical solutions.
- Participating in code reviews and engineering discussions to improve software quality and share knowledge.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting production systems to maintain high availability and operational reliability.
- Exploring new technologies, development tools, and engineering practices that improve system performance and developer productivity.
This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging systems where engineering decisions have a direct impact on production performance.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for engineers with strong computer science fundamentals and a passion for building high-performance software.
You should have:
- 1 to 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably in high-frequency trading, algorithmic trading, fintech, or another performance-sensitive environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ with experience writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity.
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture and how hardware and software interact.
- Good understanding of operating systems, including processes, threads, memory management, scheduling, and performance.
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts and network protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to continuously learn new technologies.
Experience in high-frequency trading or cryptocurrency markets is beneficial but not essential. Exceptional software engineers with strong systems programming fundamentals and an eagerness to learn are encouraged to apply.
