Job Description

This position is on TI’s Advanced Technology Development (ATD) Mask Technology and Pattern Generation (MTPG) team. Primary responsibilities may vary according to the candidate’s experience and expertise and could include: design and development of new software tools, scripts, and interfaces for use in the PG process; participating in coordinated efforts within the ATD-MTPG team to ensure consistent application of methodologies and best practices; and helping to implement and drive efficiency improvements and changes in those methodologies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.
  • This engineer must have strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in software development is required.
  • We’re searching for a detail-oriented individual with the ability to balance multiple critical path and time sensitive jobs on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the basics of semiconductor mask design, and a general knowledge about the use of masks in the manufacture of semiconductor devices.
  • Experience and proficiency in the following areas is also preferred: Cadence design environment (schematic & layout); advanced programming experience with PERL, Ruby, Oracle, and Unix Shell.
